Visit the leading regulatory authority today to be registeredALLIED HEALTH PRACTITIONERS' COUNCIL OF ZIMBABWEThe Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (AHPCZ or Council) is a regulatory bodyestablished by the Health Professions Act (Chapter 27:19). Its mandate is to regulate, control and superviseall matters affecting the training of persons in, and the manner of the exercise of, the professions andcallings specified in the Health Professions Act (Chapter 27.19). Council provides regulatory frameworksand standards of practice to allied health professionals for quality healthcare delivery in Zimbabwe andbeyond. This is done mainly by issuing practicing certificates to practitioners that have the minimumrequirements to practice. The professions that we regulate are as follows :1. Ambulance Technicians2. Clinical Assistants3. Clinical Social Workers4. Counsellors5. Dieticians6. Electrocardiogram Technicians(ECG)7.ElectroencephalographicTechnicians (EEG)8. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)9. Health Education Promotion Officers10.Hospital Equipment Technicians11.Hospital Food Service Supervisors12.Medical Physicists13.Health Information Management14.Nutritionists15. Operating TheatreTechnicians16. Paramedics17. Psychologists18. Radiographers19. X-ray Operators20. UltrasonographersThe Council notes of an increase in demand of mental health services in the country. This has however seenthe rise of people who are offering service of registered practitioners yet they are not registered. Therefore,the Council wishes to advise the public to avoid using these people.
