have been made for Captain<br />

Charles Ross M.P. (1721 -<br />

1745) who inherited Balnagown<br />

Castle from his uncle, became<br />

a Captain in 3rd Regiment of<br />

Foot Guards and elected M.P.<br />

for Ross-shire in 1741. He was<br />

killed in action at the Battle of<br />

Fontenoy in 1745 26 cm – 33<br />
