The LaseAFM Tower is a stand-alone all-in-one solution for automated measurement
of pallets on a wrapping machine. The measuring system has a 2D laser scanner
for capturing the measurement data, a high-resolution camera for image
documentation and an industrial PC with the specialized LaseAFM software.
By combining the 2D laser scanner measurement data with the rotation angle, a 3D profile
of the freight item is generated. The dimensions (length x width x height) and the freight
volume are calculated from this. The entire measurement process takes place within a
few seconds. The results are then sent to the individual inventory management system.
LaseAFM-Tower is ideally suited for new construction projects and retrofit solutions and only
requires a voltage and network supply.
