CF Copper Gaskets
Copper gaskets are used to make a leak tight UHV seal between two CF flanges. Torr Scientific offers
OFHC (oxygen free high conductivity) copper which is suitably clean for UHV conditions and has
a wide temperature range and a low outgassing rate. The gaskets are cleaned and packed to UHV
standards. Annealed copper gaskets are also offered and should always be used on components
such as viewports and glass to metal seals. Special gaskets, viton gaskets and silver plated gaskets
can be supplied on request.
