KF Blank Flanges
Blank Flanges
KF Blank flanges are offered in 316L stainless steel and aluminium. These high vacuum flanges can
be used in vacuum applications down to 10 -7 mbar and can be baked to 200°C (sustained 150°C). KF
flanges are clamped using an aluminium swing clamp which applies uniform pressure on the 15 degree
angled surface of the flange. The seal surface of the flange compresses the O-ring of an inner centering
ring. The clamps and centering rings are also available from Torr Scientific. Other KF hardware parts
can be supplied on request.

ISO Blank flanges are offered in 316L stainless steel. These high vacuum flanges can be used in vacuum
applications down to 10 -8 mbar and can be baked to 200 °C (sustained 150°C). The ISO claw clamp
flanges are clamped using steel or aluminium double claw clamps. The seal surface of the flange
compresses the O-ring of an inner centering ring. The clamps and centering rings are also available
from Torr Scientific. Rotatable outers, fixed bolted flanges and other ISO hardware can be supplied on
request.

Blank Flanges
CF Blank flanges are offered in 304L stainless steel and 316LN stainless steel for low energy applications
or surface science applications needing low magnetic fields. These ultra high vacuum flanges can
be used in vacuum applications down to 10 -12 mbar and can be baked to 450 °C. The CF flanges are
clamped using nuts, bolts and washers, and the knife-edge of the flange cuts in to the copper gasket
seal. Uniform bolting and the use of annealed copper gaskets is essential when bolting viewports and
glass to metal seals. The nuts, bolts, washers and copper gaskets are also available from Torr Scientific.
