Jennifer Hocevar and Lynne Penhale are this year’s recipients of
the Foundation’s Marilyn Heywood Memorial Scholarships,
worth $150 each. Congratulations, Jennifer and Lynne.
Marilyn Heywood was a tireless community volunteer,
valued employee and co-worker, and a sensitive and
committed friend. She was a School District employee
who volunteered with the Quesnel Little Theatre and the
Library and was an avid bridge player. She was killed in
1984 by a drunk driver. After her death, this scholarship
was created by her friends and colleagues.
