RACV British & European Motoring Show Yarra Glen Racecourse February 20 th 2022

This was not only our first Wolseley outing for the year,

but also the first time this motoring show has been

held for the last two years and what a turnout! There

were cars and people everywhere! There was a real

buzz as car clubs and members displayed their cars,

caught up with friends or car enthusiasts, or participated

in judging of club cars. The Wolseley banner was

flying high and many thanks to our members who made the effort to be part of the

day with many Wolseleys on display. On entry, participants were issued with a

booklet outlining the day’s events and role of the AOMC. It also contained an excellent

article written by our Wolseley Car Club President, Graham Keys, on

“Celebrating the 70 th Anniversary of the Wolseley 4/44.”

Outing to Castlemaine Sunday 24 th April

This has been widely publicised in previous Hornets and is shaping up to be a great event, thanks to the careful planning by our club member,

Anthony van Emmerik. Please see the arrangements as detailed below.

Weekend Trip to Shepparton – Friday 20 th May and returning home on Sunday 22 nd May

This great weekend has been carefully planned by our members Bev and Rob Asquith. Some of the highlights for the weekend include a

visit to the Shepparton Art Museum (SAM); the Museum of Vehicle Evolution (MOVE); Southern Rod and Custom and the Australian Botanical

Gardens. There is a separate flyer in this Hornet edition that outlines the Itinerary and arrangements for the weekend. Also included

is a separate Registration form to complete for those interested in attending. The deadline for this form is Thursday 14 th April. There is no

up-front payment but rather members are to make their own motel booking at the Courtyard Motor Inn at a cost of $109 per night. This motel

has been reserved for our club. Other expenses to be paid for at the time of purchase.
