Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of routine and
emergency illnesses and injuries in companion, agricultural and
exotic animals. Included in clinical responsibilities: clinical

trauma, orthopedic, cosmetic, population control and oncology.

chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes) and 600 macaques (Macacca
mulatta and M fascicularis). Included in responsibilities: serving
as principal investigator for breeding colonies of macaques and
chimpanzees, providing medical and surgical support, diagnostic
imaging, and training to investigators and sponsors.
Supervised a staff of 3-5 veterinarians and 56 animal care
technicians. Responsible for the formulation and implementation
of procedures necessary for maintaining the health and welfare of
all animals housed at the Coulston Foundation.
