Abstract: Games in partition function form were introduced by Thrall and Lucas
(1963). Values for such games were introduced by Myerson (1979), Bolger
(1989) and Feldman (1994); all of them are in some way extensions of the
Shapley value for cooperative transferrable utility games in characteristic form.
This paper introduces a new Shapley-type value for partition function games. A
formula for the new value is obtained and its uniqueness is proven. Also, the
regular concept of the dummy (or null) player for games in partition function
form was modified and renamed as dummy in the mean to fit into the new
framework.
