본문 요약
하나님의 심판 도구로 사용된 앗수르의 손을 통한 애굽과 구스의 멸망을
예언했다. 본 예언은 B.C. 731년경 앗수르 제국 사르곤 왕이 블레셋 성읍 아
스돗을 침공할 때에 예언되었으며, 결국 30~50년 뒤에 역사적으로 성취되
었다. 이사야는 바벨론이 메데와 바사의 공격으로 갑자기 멸망당할 것을 예
언한다. (사 20~21장)
Prophesied the fall of Egypt and Cush by the hand of Assyria, which was
used as God's judgment tool. This prophecy was prophesied around
731 B.C. when King Sargon of the Assyrian Empire invaded the city of
Asdod, and finally, it was achieved historically 30 to 50 years later. Isaiah
prophesies that Babylon will suddenly fall by the attacks of Medes and
Persia. (Isa 20~21)

‘견고한 곳, 요새, 성채’라는 뜻이다. 아스글론 북쪽에 위치하여 아낙 자손이 살았던 곳이었으며, 블레셋
의 대표적인 다섯 성읍 중 하나이다. (사 20:1)
It means 'strong place, stronghold, and fortress'. Located north of Ashkelon, where the descendants
of Anak were inhabiting, and is one of the five representative cities of the Philistines. (Isa 20:1)

말씀하여 이르시되 갈지어다 네 허리에서
베를 끄르고 네 발에서 신을 벗을지니라
하시매 그가 그대로 하여 벗은 몸과 벗은
발로 다니니라
3 여호와께서 이르시되 나의 종 이사야가
삼 년 동안 벗은 몸과 벗은 발로 다니며 애
굽과 구스에 대하여 징조와 예표가 되었
느니라 4 이와 같이 애굽의 포로와 구스의
사로잡힌 자가 앗수르 왕에게 끌려갈 때
에 젊은 자나 늙은 자가 다 벗은 몸과 벗은
발로 볼기까지 드러내어 애굽의 수치를 보
이리니
5 그들이 바라던 구스와 자랑하던 애굽으
로 말미암아 그들이 놀라고 부끄러워할
것이라 6 그 날에 이 해변 주민이 말하기를
우리가 믿던 나라 곧 우리가 앗수르 왕에
게서 벗어나기를 바라고 달려가서 도움을
구하던 나라가 이같이 되었은즉 우리가
어찌 능히 피하리요 하리라
바벨론 멸망에 관한 묵시
1 해변 광야에 관한 경고라 적병
21이 광야에서, 두려운 땅에서 네
겝 회오리바람 같이 몰려왔도다 2 혹독한
묵시가 내게 보였도다 속이는 자는 속이
고 약탈하는 자는 약탈하도다 엘람이여
올라가고 메대여 에워싸라 그의 모든 탄
식을 내가 그치게 하였노라 하시도다 3 이
러므로 나의 요통이 심하여 해산이 임박
한 여인의 고통 같은 고통이 나를 엄습하
였으므로 내가 괴로워서 듣지 못하며 놀
라서 보지 못하도다

time the Lord spoke by Isaiah the son of
Amoz, saying, “Go, and loose the sackcloth
from your waist and take off your sandals
from your feet,” and he did so, walking
naked and barefoot.
3 Then the Lord said, “As my servant Isaiah
has walked naked and barefoot for three
years as a sign and a portent against Egypt
and Cush, 4 so shall the king of Assyria
lead away the Egyptian captives and the
Cushite exiles, both the young and the
old, naked and barefoot, with buttocks
uncovered, the nakedness of Egypt.
5 Then they shall be dismayed and
ashamed because of Cush their hope and
of Egypt their boast. 6 And the inhabitants
of this coastland will say in that day,
‘Behold, this is what has happened to
those in whom we hoped and to whom
we fled for help to be delivered from the
king of Assyria! And we, how shall we
escape?’”
Fallen, Fallen Is Babylon
1 The oracle concerning the
21wilderness of the sea. As
whirlwinds in the Negeb sweep on, it
comes from the wilderness, from a terrible
land. 2 A stern vision is told to me; the
traitor betrays, and the destroyer destroys.
Go up, O Elam; lay siege, O Media; all the
sighing she has caused I bring to an end.
3 Therefore my loins are filled with anguish;
pangs have seized me, like the pangs of
a woman in labor; I am bowed down so
that I cannot hear; I am dismayed so that I
cannot see.

4 내 마음이 어지럽고 두려움이 나를 놀라
게 하며 희망의 서광이 변하여 내게 떨림
이 되도다 5 그들이 식탁을 베풀고 파수꾼
을 세우고 먹고 마시도다 너희 고관들아
일어나 방패에 기름을 바를지어다 6 주께
서 내게 이르시되 가서 파수꾼을 세우고
그가 보는 것을 보고하게 하되 7 마병대가
쌍쌍이 오는 것과 나귀 떼와 낙타 떼를 보
거든 귀 기울여 자세히 들으라 하셨더니
8 파수꾼이 사자 같이 부르짖기를 주여 내
가 낮에 늘 망대에 서 있었고 밤이 새도록
파수하는 곳에 있었더니 9 보소서 마병대
가 쌍쌍이 오나이다 하니 그가 대답하여
이르시되 함락되었도다 함락되었도다 바
벨론이여 그들이 조각한 신상들이 다 부
서져 땅에 떨어졌도다 하시도다 10 내가 짓
밟은 너여, 내가 타작한 너여, 내가 이스라
엘의 하나님 만군의 여호와께 들은 대로
너희에게 전하였노라
두마에 관한 경고
11 두마에 관한 경고라 사람이 세일에서
나를 부르되 파수꾼이여 밤이 어떻게 되
었느냐 파수꾼이여 밤이 어떻게 되었느냐
12 파수꾼이 이르되 아침이 오나니 밤도 오
리라 네가 물으려거든 물으라 너희는 돌
아올지니라 하더라
아라비아에 관한 경고
13 아라비아에 관한 경고라 드단 대상들이
여 너희가 아라비아 수풀에서 유숙하리
라 14 데마 땅의 주민들아 물을 가져다가
목마른 자에게 주고 떡을 가지고 도피하
는 자를 영접하라 15 그들이 칼날을 피하
며 뺀 칼과 당긴 활과 전쟁의 어려움에서
4 My heart staggers; horror has appalled
me; the twilight I longed for has been
turned for me into trembling. 5 They
prepare the table, they spread the rugs,
they eat, they drink. Arise, O princes; oil
the shield! 6 For thus the Lord said to me:
“Go, set a watchman; let him announce
what he sees. 7 When he sees riders,
horsemen in pairs, riders on donkeys,
riders on camels, let him listen diligently,
very diligently.”
8 Then he who saw cried out: “Upon a
watchtower I stand, O Lord, continually by
day, and at my post I am stationed whole
nights. 9 And behold, here come riders,
horsemen in pairs!” And he answered,
“Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the carved
images of her gods he has shattered to the
ground.” 10 O my threshed and winnowed
one, what I have heard from the Lord of
hosts, the God of Israel, I announce to you.
11 The oracle concerning Dumah. One is
calling to me from Seir, “Watchman, what
time of the night? Watchman, what time
of the night?” 12 The watchman says:
“Morning comes, and also the night. If you
will inquire, inquire; come back again.”
13 The oracle concerning Arabia. In the
thickets in Arabia you will lodge, O caravans
of Dedanites. 14 To the thirsty bring water;
meet the fugitive with bread, O inhabitants
of the land of Tema. 15 For they have fled
from the swords, from the drawn sword,

from the bent bow, and from the press
of battle. 16 For thus the Lord said to me,
“Within a year, according to the years of
a hired worker, all the glory of Kedar will
come to an end. 17 And the remainder of
the archers of the mighty men of the sons
of Kedar will be few, for the Lord, the God of
Israel, has spoken.”
갈라디아서
갈라디아 사람들에게 호소하다
1 어리석도다 갈라디아 사람들아 예
3 수 그리스도께서 십자가에 못 박히신
것이 너희 눈 앞에 밝히 보이거늘 누가 너
희를 꾀더냐 2 내가 너희에게서 다만 이것
을 알려 하노니 너희가 성령을 받은 것이
율법의 행위로냐 혹은 듣고 믿음으로냐
3 너희가 이같이 어리석으냐 성령으로 시
작하였다가 이제는 ✽ 육체로 마치겠느냐
4 너희가 이같이 많은 괴로움을 헛되이 받
았느냐 과연 헛되냐 5 너희에게 성령을 주
시고 너희 가운데서 능력을 행하시는 이의
일이 율법의 행위에서냐 혹은 듣고 믿음에
서냐 6 아브라함이 하나님을 믿으매 그것
을 그에게 의로 정하셨다 함과 같으니라
7 그런즉 믿음으로 말미암은 자들은 아브
라함의 자손인 줄 알지어다 8 또 하나님이
Galatians
By Faith, or by Works of the Law?
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has
3 bewitched you? It was before
your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly
portrayed as crucified. 2 Let me ask you
only this: Did you receive the Spirit by
works of the law or by hearing with faith?
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the
Spirit, are you now being ✽ perfected by
the flesh? 4 Did you suffer so many things
in vain—if indeed it was in vain? 5 Does he
who supplies the Spirit to you and works
miracles among you do so by works of
the law, or by hearing with faith— 6 just
as Abraham “believed God, and it was
counted to him as righteousness”?
7 Know then that it is those of faith who are
the sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture,

육은 영의 반대 개념으로 거듭나기 이전의 타락한 인간, 죄의 속성으로 인간의 연약함, 무기력함 등을
의미한다. 이러한 육을 따른다는 표현은 예수님의 복음을 떠나 율법을 좇아가는 어리석음을 나타낸다.

Flesh is the opposite concept of spirit, and it refers to human weakness, helplessness, and other
attributes of decayed humanity or sin, before being born again. So the expression of following
such flesh represents the foolishness of leaving the gospel of Jesus and following the law. (Gal 3:3)

이방을 믿음으로 말미암아 의로 정하실
것을 성경이 미리 알고 먼저 아브라함에게
복음을 전하되 모든 이방인이 너로 말미
암아 복을 받으리라 하였느니라 9 그러므
로 믿음으로 말미암은 자는 믿음이 있는
아브라함과 함께 복을 받느니라
10 무릇 율법 행위에 속한 자들은 저주 아
래에 있나니 기록된 바 누구든지 율법 책
에 기록된 대로 모든 일을 항상 행하지 아
니하는 자는 저주 아래에 있는 자라 하였
음이라 11 또 하나님 앞에서 아무도 율법
으로 말미암아 의롭게 되지 못할 것이 분
명하니 이는 의인은 믿음으로 살리라 하
였음이라 12 율법은 믿음에서 난 것이 아니
니 율법을 행하는 자는 그 가운데서 살리
라 하였느니라 13 그리스도께서 우리를 위
하여 저주를 받은 바 되사 율법의 저주에
서 우리를 속량하셨으니 기록된 바 나무
에 달린 자마다 저주 아래에 있는 자라 하
였음이라 14 이는 그리스도 예수 안에서
아브라함의 복이 이방인에게 미치게 하고
또 우리로 하여금 믿음으로 말미암아 성
령의 약속을 받게 하려 함이라
foreseeing that God would justify the
Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel
beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you
shall all the nations be blessed.” 9 So then,
those who are of faith are blessed along
with Abraham, the man of faith.
The Righteous Shall Live by Faith
10 For all who rely on works of the law are
under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be
everyone who does not abide by all things
written in the Book of the Law, and do
them.” 11 Now it is evident that no one is
justified before God by the law, for “The
righteous shall live by faith.” 12 But the
law is not of faith, rather “The one who
does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ
redeemed us from the curse of the law by
becoming a curse for us—for it is written,
“Cursed is everyone who is hanged on
a tree”— 14 so that in Christ Jesus the
blessing of Abraham might come to the
Gentiles, so that we might receive the
promised Spirit through faith.
