frequency, high-volume shopping. VCHs, however, will be developed with the dbCommerce<br />
operating and business environment in mind, and be designed to provide extensive fare and<br />
product transparency, support dynamic pricing, and enable rich merchandising and retailing.<br />
VCHs will not necessarily require airlines to change their CRS or PSS host systems. However, the<br />
systems themselves may require enhancements so that they can be adapted to support the VCHs.<br />
A key difference between GDSs and VCHs will be the business level at which the VCHs work.<br />
Unlike GDSs, which work with individual airlines, VCHs will be developed for each major alliance --<br />
oneworld, SkyTeam, and Star Alliance. As LCCs continue to grow, and enter more long-haul flying,<br />
