FortisBC is notifying customers that due to above normal snowpack<br />
and delayed melt, there is an increased possibility that flooding could<br />
occur during late <strong>May</strong> or early June if temperatures rise substantially.<br />
Currently, Kootenay Lake levels are forecasted to remain below 1752 ft.<br />
at Queen’s Bay; however, conditions could change rapidly. Lake levels<br />
are predominately driven by natural inflows as a result of melting snow<br />
pack and precipitation and are subject to sudden, large increases.<br />
