RED SWITCHGRASS<br />

A red Switchgrass that’s one <strong>of</strong> the oldest, best,<br />

and most popular cultivars. The foliage develops<br />

red tones early in summer, culminating in<br />

a dazzling red display in fall. It has a neat, upright<br />

habit. Drought tolerant, easy to maintain;<br />

provides food and shelter to wildlife. Discovered<br />

by Hans Simon in Germany from a seedling <strong>of</strong> P.<br />

virgatum ‘Hänse Herms’.<br />
