Pisello Art Glass
"Flipper" Miniature Dolphin
The mini Dolphin nicknamed "Flipper" was poured by Mosser Glass for
Pisello Art Glass. These Greentown souvenirs were first sold by Pisello
Art Glass of La Porte, Indiana and were dated and signed inside the lid.
The date changed each year. Originals were limited in number and only a
few colors were made. Lid marked PISELLO and the year made. Arkie
Pisello sold mini dolphins between 1982-'84. The mold was sold to the
Greentown Museum in 1994. The museum reintroduced the mini dolphin
in many new colors. Boyd's Art Glass poured the mold for the museum.
Museum's "Flipper" lids read GREENTOWN SOUVENIR or GREENTOWN
SOUVENIR 1894-1903, representing
the years Greentown Glass was in
business. 3 1/2" long x 2 1/2" high.
