4th Kalamata International Choir Competition and Festival September 22 - 26, 2022 Kalamata, Greece Singing in the Land of Gods The combination of the sea, mountains, vineyards and olive trees, combined with the typical Greek hospitality has turned Kalamata into a place where singers from all over the world have felt at home for years. With its location on the Southern Peloponnese Kalamata is a wonderful host for a choral event that combines the advantages of an international choral competition with various concert opportunities in a culturally diverse city. The special feature of this festival is an easy going gathering of different nations just in the middle of the wonderful setting of South East Europe. Narrow lanes, a historic old town and the Apostles church of the 12th century have characterized the townscape until this day. Kalamata is further surrounded by some of the most beautiful bays and beaches Greece has to offer. The choir competition offers categories for different levels of difficulty, types of ensembles and musical genres. The various venues are located in walking distance in the middle of the vivid old town with its numerous restaurants, cafés and small stores. Vibrant, idyllic, and rich in variety – this is Kalamata!

Η τελετή Έναρξης, καθώς και η τελετή<br />
Λήξης και Απονομών θα διεξαχθούν στο<br />
Κλειστό Γυμναστήριο Τέντα. Πρόκειται,<br />
πράγματι, για μία τεράστια τέντα,<br />
που φιλοξενεί διάφορες αθλητικές<br />
εκδηλώσεις. Έχει χωρητικότητα 2.000<br />
θέσεων και μπορεί, έτσι, να φιλοξενήσει<br />
όλους τους συμμετέχοντες του 4ου<br />
Διεθνούς Διαγωνισμού & Φεστιβάλ<br />
Χορωδιών Καλαμάτας. Για τις ανάγκες<br />
των επισήμων εκδηλώσεων στήνεται<br />
μια μεγάλη σκηνή, αλλά εξακολουθεί<br />
να υπάρχει αρκετός χώρος για να<br />
τραγουδήσουν και να χορέψουν οι<br />
συμμετέχοντες και να πανηγυρίσουν,<br />
όλοι μαζί, τα αποτελέσματα.<br />

The Opening Concert as well as Closing<br />
<strong>and</strong> Award Ceremony, will be held in<br />
Tenta Sports Hall. Tenta Sports Hall is<br />
considerable huge tent used for various<br />
sports events. With a total of 2000 seats, it<br />
can host all participants of the 4 th <strong>Kalamata</strong><br />
<strong>International</strong> <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Competition</strong> & <strong>Festival</strong>.<br />
A big stage is constructed especially for<br />
the official events of the choir competition.<br />
However there is still enough space for the<br />
participants to sing, dance together <strong>and</strong><br />
celebrate the results.<br />
