industry is a powerhouse that furniture and<br />

panel manufacturers can no longer look away<br />

from.<br />

<strong>In</strong> particular, Binh Duong province is one<br />

of the fastest growing economies in the<br />

country. Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman<br />

of the Provincial People’s Committee of<br />

Binh Duong, elaborated: “<strong>In</strong> recent years,<br />

Binh Duong is considered one of the leading<br />

provinces of economic development,<br />

construction planning, and urban areas<br />

development, concentrating on industrial<br />

areas and clusters in terms of FDI attraction.<br />

“Within the first six months of <strong>2022</strong>, the<br />

southern province of Binh Duong attracted<br />

domestic investment capital of 33.8 billion<br />

Vietnamese dong, and lured US$2.52 billion<br />

worth of FDI. With a new development<br />

strategy of Binh Duong <strong>In</strong>novation Zone,<br />

Binh Duong not only promotes attracting<br />

FDI, but also develops balanced economic<br />

growth and prioritises infrastructure<br />

investment.”<br />

The trade exhibition, held at WTC Binh<br />

Duong New City Expo, is also close to various<br />

woodworking factories in Binh Duong, and<br />

this makes it easier for manufacturers to visit<br />

and test out the machineries themselves<br />

with wood panel samples they brought<br />
