The bell choir has openings for dependable teens and adults who read music.

MERRY, MATURE, METHODISTS (3M’S)
This month’s 3M’s participants will enjoy lunch and a boat tour on the Preston
Pearl at Moraine State Park. Participants should meet on Thursday, September
15 at 11:30 am, McDanel’s Launch. There are 3 seats available which are $20
each and include both lunch and the boat tour. To reserve one of these seats or
for any questions, contact Erma Summerville at 724.996.4348.
WHAT IS “FC GATHERING”?
FC Gathering is a mid-week event that will be held at the Downtown Campus beginning
Wednesday, October 12. Everyone is invited! During our time together we
will share a meal and fellowship, and then move on to small groups. Everything is
in the planning stages, and we will be sharing more with you soon!
SECOND GRACE BACK TO SCHOOL BLUE JEAN EVENT
The Second Grace Shop will be distributing some clothing for back to school on
Saturday, September 17 from 10 am - 12 pm at the Connection Center. School
appropriate jean donations are being accepted until that time through the
church office. Any size for small children to teenagers are greatly appreciated.
ROOTS (GRADES 3 - 6)
Roots will meet on Sunday, September 25, from 5 - 7 pm at the Rt. 8 Campus. We
are looking forward to learning about Jesus, having fun and eating tacos! Contact

THIS WEEKEND WE BEGIN A NEW SERMON SERIES: GET OVER YOURSELF!
The text for week one of Get Over Yourself is Luke 18:9-14 - the parable of
the Pharisee and the tax collector: “For whoever who exalts themselves will
be humbled, and whoever humbles themselves will be exalted.” It’s the
“posture” before the Lord that opens the door to the flow of God’s work in
life - a posture of humility, of acknowledging that before God without Jesus,
we are simply sinners seeking mercy.
