Μικτή Χορωδία Καρπενησίου “<strong>Antonio</strong> Vivaldi”, Ελλάδα<br />

Η μικτή χορωδία Καρπενησίου “<strong>Antonio</strong> Vivaldi” ιδρύθηκε το 1986, με πρωτοβουλία του<br />

καθηγητή Γιώργου Ξενάκη. Στόχος της είναι η προώθηση της χορωδιακής τέχνης και η ενεργή<br />

συμμετοχή στα πολιτιστικά και κοινωνικά δρώμενα της πόλης του Καρπενησίου. Έχει δώσει<br />

συναυλίες στο Καρπενήσι, στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Από το 1988 διοργανώνει το Διεθνές<br />

Χορωδιακό <strong>Φεστιβάλ</strong> Καρπενησίου και το Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό Χορωδιών “<strong>Antonio</strong> Vivaldi”.<br />

The mixed choir of Karpenissi was established in 1986, through an initiative taken by the Music Professor George Xenakis, who<br />

has been the conductor of the choir since its foundation. The choir of Karpenissi, aims to conserve <strong>and</strong> to promote the choir art,<br />

<strong>and</strong> to actively participate in the cultural <strong>and</strong> social life of its city, the city of Karpenissi in Greece. The choir has given more than<br />

100 concerts in the municipality of Evrytania (Greece), in all cities of Greece <strong>and</strong> abroad (Bulgaria 1989, Hungary 1990, Cyprus<br />

1992, Romania 2003-2007, etc). The choir has participated in various <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>s in Greece, such as the 7th choir festival of<br />

Atalanti, the 1st International <strong>Festival</strong> of Religious Music in the city of Delfoi, the 4th one of Aspra Spitia, the 5th <strong>and</strong> 10th ones of<br />

Kifisia, the 7th one of Karditsa, the 5th one of Argus Orestikou, the 5th one of Patra, the 6th Internation <strong>Festival</strong> of Thessaloniki,<br />

the 9th one of Preveza, the 9th one of Nikaia, the 7th one of Larisa, the 3rd one of Athens – Pallas, the 14th one of Argos, the 10th<br />

International <strong>Festival</strong> of Serres, the 12th one of Agias Volou, <strong>and</strong> more.<br />

The choir has performed numerous works for orchestra <strong>and</strong> choir by composers such as Mozart, Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Beethoven,<br />

H<strong>and</strong>el, Haydn, with the symphony orchestras of the Dramatic Theatre “K.Kisimov” (Bulgaria), Pernik (Bulgaria), Razgrant<br />

(Bulgaria), Philipoupole (Bulgaria). It has also put on the Holy Liturgy <strong>and</strong> the “Axion Esti” composed by Mikis Theodorakis.<br />

Since 1988, the choir organizes the International <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> of Karpenissi <strong>and</strong> the International <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Competition</strong> “<strong>Antonio</strong><br />

Vivaldi” in Karpenissi, Greece. Since its founding, the conductor of the choir is George Xenakis, while from 1994 to 2010 the choir<br />

pianist was Dionysis Xenakis.<br />

Μικτή Χορωδία Δήμου Σπερχειάδας-<br />

Μακρακώμης, Ελλάδα<br />

Ιδρύθηκε το 1993 υπό την διεύθυνση του μαέστρου κ.<br />

Δημητρίου Φλώρου. Αργότερα, το 1995, δημιουργείται<br />

το «Εργαστήρι Παραδοσιακής Μουσικής» με μαέστρο<br />

τον κ. Δημήτριο Γρίβα με σκοπό την ανάδειξη και<br />

των Δημοτικών Τραγουδιών της Δυτικής Φθιώτιδας.<br />

Τα μέλη της χορωδίας είναι ερασιτέχνες, με ιδιαίτερη<br />

ευαισθησία και πάθος για το τραγούδι. Σκοπός τους<br />

είναι η καλλιέργεια της χορωδιακής μουσικής και η<br />

ανάπτυξη καλών σχέσεων και ισχυρών δεσμών Φιλίας<br />

μεταξύ ανθρώπων και χωρών. Έχει έντονη μουσική δραστηριότητα με αρκετές συμμετοχές σε πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις τόσο στην<br />

Ελλάδα όσο και το εξωτερικό.<br />

Mixed <strong>Choir</strong> of the Municipality of Sperheiada – Makrakomi, Greece<br />

It is founded in 1993 under the conducting of Mr.Dimitrios Floros. Later on, in 1995, the ‘’Traditional Music Workshop’’ <strong>and</strong> its<br />

conductor Mr.Dimitrios Grivas aim at promoting the Traditional Music of West Fthiotida. As a monophonic choir, it participates in<br />

various cultural events singing Traditional Songs as well as those of modern Greek composers. It is in 2002 when the Mixed <strong>Choir</strong><br />

of the Municipality of Spercheiada-Makrakomi collaborates with the Music Class of the University of Engineers in Athens. In September<br />

2006 it is turned into a four-voice choir under the conducting of Mr. George Xenakis. Despite the amateurism of the choir<br />

members, a special relationship, based on the passion for music, can easily be observed. Their intention is to promote the choir<br />

music <strong>and</strong> develop essential Friendship bonds among people <strong>and</strong> countries. Its intense music activity results in a number of participations<br />

in various cultural events of its Municipality <strong>and</strong> others, such as, in:Argos, Karpenissi, Mikra Thessalonikis, ‘’DIMITRIA’’<br />

Thessalonikis etc. Furthermore,it takes part in the International <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> ‘’Mikis Theodorakis’’ in Nafpaktos <strong>and</strong> abroad<br />

(National <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> ‘’D.C. Kiriac’’, Pitesti / Romania <strong>and</strong> International <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> , Veliko Tarnovo / Bulgaria) receiving<br />

the best comments. Its repertoire includes works of Greek <strong>and</strong> foreign composers, of artistic <strong>and</strong> classical music.<br />
