Η μικτή χορωδία Καρπενησίου “Antonio Vivaldi” ιδρύθηκε το 1986, με πρωτοβουλία του
καθηγητή Γιώργου Ξενάκη. Στόχος της είναι η προώθηση της χορωδιακής τέχνης και η ενεργή
συμμετοχή στα πολιτιστικά και κοινωνικά δρώμενα της πόλης του Καρπενησίου. Έχει δώσει
συναυλίες στο Καρπενήσι, στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Από το 1988 διοργανώνει το Διεθνές
Χορωδιακό Φεστιβάλ Καρπενησίου και το Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό Χορωδιών “Antonio Vivaldi”.

The mixed choir of Karpenissi was established in 1986, through an initiative taken by the Music Professor George Xenakis, who
has been the conductor of the choir since its foundation. The choir of Karpenissi, aims to conserve and to promote the choir art,
and to actively participate in the cultural and social life of its city, the city of Karpenissi in Greece. The choir has given more than
100 concerts in the municipality of Evrytania (Greece), in all cities of Greece and abroad (Bulgaria 1989, Hungary 1990, Cyprus
1992, Romania 2003-2007, etc). The choir has participated in various Choir Festivals in Greece, such as the 7th choir festival of
Atalanti, the 1st International Festival of Religious Music in the city of Delfoi, the 4th one of Aspra Spitia, the 5th and 10th ones of
Kifisia, the 7th one of Karditsa, the 5th one of Argus Orestikou, the 5th one of Patra, the 6th Internation Festival of Thessaloniki,
the 9th one of Preveza, the 9th one of Nikaia, the 7th one of Larisa, the 3rd one of Athens – Pallas, the 14th one of Argos, the 10th
International Festival of Serres, the 12th one of Agias Volou, and more.
The choir has performed numerous works for orchestra and choir by composers such as Mozart, Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Beethoven,
Handel, Haydn, with the symphony orchestras of the Dramatic Theatre “K.Kisimov” (Bulgaria), Pernik (Bulgaria), Razgrant
(Bulgaria), Philipoupole (Bulgaria). It has also put on the Holy Liturgy and the “Axion Esti” composed by Mikis Theodorakis.
Since 1988, the choir organizes the International Choir Festival of Karpenissi and the International Choir Competition “Antonio
Vivaldi” in Karpenissi, Greece. Since its founding, the conductor of the choir is George Xenakis, while from 1994 to 2010 the choir
pianist was Dionysis Xenakis.

Μικτή Χορωδία Δήμου Σπερχειάδας-
Μακρακώμης, Ελλάδα
Ιδρύθηκε το 1993 υπό την διεύθυνση του μαέστρου κ.
Δημητρίου Φλώρου. Αργότερα, το 1995, δημιουργείται
το «Εργαστήρι Παραδοσιακής Μουσικής» με μαέστρο
τον κ. Δημήτριο Γρίβα με σκοπό την ανάδειξη και
των Δημοτικών Τραγουδιών της Δυτικής Φθιώτιδας.
Τα μέλη της χορωδίας είναι ερασιτέχνες, με ιδιαίτερη
ευαισθησία και πάθος για το τραγούδι. Σκοπός τους
είναι η καλλιέργεια της χορωδιακής μουσικής και η
ανάπτυξη καλών σχέσεων και ισχυρών δεσμών Φιλίας
μεταξύ ανθρώπων και χωρών. Έχει έντονη μουσική δραστηριότητα με αρκετές συμμετοχές σε πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις τόσο στην
Ελλάδα όσο και το εξωτερικό.

Mixed Choir of the Municipality of Sperheiada – Makrakomi, Greece
It is founded in 1993 under the conducting of Mr.Dimitrios Floros. Later on, in 1995, the ‘’Traditional Music Workshop’’ and its
conductor Mr.Dimitrios Grivas aim at promoting the Traditional Music of West Fthiotida. As a monophonic choir, it participates in
various cultural events singing Traditional Songs as well as those of modern Greek composers. It is in 2002 when the Mixed Choir
of the Municipality of Spercheiada-Makrakomi collaborates with the Music Class of the University of Engineers in Athens. In September
2006 it is turned into a four-voice choir under the conducting of Mr. George Xenakis. Despite the amateurism of the choir
members, a special relationship, based on the passion for music, can easily be observed. Their intention is to promote the choir
music and develop essential Friendship bonds among people and countries. Its intense music activity results in a number of participations
in various cultural events of its Municipality and others, such as, in:Argos, Karpenissi, Mikra Thessalonikis, ‘’DIMITRIA’’
Thessalonikis etc. Furthermore,it takes part in the International Choir Festival ‘’Mikis Theodorakis’’ in Nafpaktos and abroad
(National Choir Festival ‘’D.C. Kiriac’’, Pitesti / Romania and International Choir Festival , Veliko Tarnovo / Bulgaria) receiving
the best comments. Its repertoire includes works of Greek and foreign composers, of artistic and classical music.
