<strong>12</strong>:30 pm This recital features the flute studio of the University of Oregon<br />

Octavius 22 and the flute music of the Hartt School faculty composers. Performers<br />

include Molly Barth, Janet Arms, Thiago Sousa, Michelle<br />

Stockman, Arielle Burke, Kristen McGuire, Nick Goodwin,<br />

<strong>12</strong>:20 pm This lecture/presentation begins with a discussion by K. Dawn<br />

Octavius 16 Grapes of the origins of Debussy’s panflute voice and concludes<br />

with an actual staging of the translated scene from<br />

Gabriel Mourey’s play Psyche for which Syrinx was composed.<br />
