THE BEST FROM THE YEAR
In what has been one of the most challenging years ever
experienced by the global hair and beauty industry, we are
delighted to present looks from the prestigious International
AIPP Awards for the 2021 - 2022 season. These represent the
very top in international hairdressing. In pride of place is a
beautiful image by Manuel Mon from Spain, finalist in the
Avant-Garde category, which appears on our front cover.

Congratulations to the winners, the finalists and everyone
who took part in what has been a truly exceptional year.
Despite the difficulties incurred, the competition recorded
an extraordinary number of participants, with 532 hair
collections received from 32 countries around the world – an
outstanding level level of engagement and participation
considering how our industry has been rocked by the impact
of the global pandemic.
The 4 category winners are:
Best Commercial – Candice McKay, South Africa;
Best Avant-Garde – Angelo Seminara, United Kingdom;
Best Colour – Emma Simmons, United Kingdom;
Best Men – Christine Alves, France.
