Winter
Last, but not least, the quietest
time of year in Newquay…
Winter. Now don’t be fooled,
just because not so many
people come here in the winter,
doesn’t mean it isn’t just as
beautiful or interesting as any
other season! Think dramatic
storms and waves, cosy pub
meals, windy coastal walks and
probably the best time of year
for events. You’ll also find the
accommodation is much cheaper
than any other season, although
book in advance as a lot of places
do close for winter.
STORM WATCHING!
There’s no need to fear a downpour in Newquay, as it has some
of the most spectacular viewpoints for storm-watching! All in
the comfort of a fancy hotel or cosy pub. The Bowgie Inn and
Lewinnick Lodge are some of our top recommendations, as
each are perched on the cliff side with mesmerising coastal
views. You’ll feel like you’re right in the middle of all the action
yet sat by the warmth of a fire with a hot drink. Bliss!
A trip to Newquay has got to be at the top of your Christmas
list if you’re looking to go away in the wintertime. Full of festive
cheer. Newquay at Christmas is a 3-day event that is put on
free for locals and visitors to enjoy by Newquay Town Council.
Well, there you have it! Something to see and do in every
season. Now you know that Newquay isn’t just a summer
destination, and you’ll always find something to do whatever
time of year you choose to visit us in lovely Newquay.
