LAMBDA THETA ALPHA FOUNDATION
The Lambda Theta Alpha Foundation (LTA Foundation) was created as
a separate entity from the sorority as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
to respond to the growing need for additional financial support in our
communities. In 2021-2022, members of Lambda Theta Alpha raised
$30,378.25 while supporting the following campaigns:

ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
Lambda Theta Alpha celebrated 11 years in partnership
with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at the St. Jude
Walk/Run event. This signature event brings communities
together nationwide during Childhood Cancer Awareness
Month to raise funds for the hospital. With more than 90
registered teams nationwide, Lambda Theta Alpha met and
exceeded its annual goal, raising $40,157.
In addition, LTA participated in a multi-market team blitz week and a No More Cancer
Rally alongside other Greek organizations. LTA was awarded the 2021 Top Multi-
Market Community Team by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Members also
attended the St. Jude Promesa y Esperanza Virtual Seminar, “Love Music. Stop Cancer.
¡En Vivo con St. Jude.” During the virtual seminar, participants were joined by A.B.
Quintanilla, Hayley Arceneaux, and many St. Jude patients to learn about the
significant impact of our fundraising efforts and exciting new updates for the coming
year.
CDC LET’S STOP HIV TOGETHER CAMPAIGN
Through our expansive network, we aim to support this campaign by sharing
resources, initiating dialogue, and raising awareness for minorities and people of
color living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Throughout the next year, Lambda Theta Alpha
will be engaged in various activities to educate
our members about this health disparity affecting
racial and ethnic minorities.
Annual Scholarship Campaign
The LTA Foundation provides annual scholarships for students
pursing education at the undergraduate, graduate, and
doctoral levels and who demonstrate commitment to
advancing their community.
NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY
1.975 Run: Avenue for Advancement
Aligned with its mission to promote political activism, Lambda Theta
Alpha is proud to continue its partnership with National Voter
Registration Day in an effort to register voters ahead of critical state
and local elections in 2021 and midterm elections in 2022.
In 2021, 23 undergraduate and alumnae chapters participated by
connecting with their local communities and campuses to register
people to vote in person and virtually, and highlight the importance
of making your voice heard in our elections.
SOCIAL MEDIA
The annual event supports efforts to uplift communities
through various avenues. In 2022, proceeds were allocated to
organizations already engaging in enrichment initiatives for
vulnerable and underrepresented communities.
In March 2022, Lambda Theta Alpha grew, the national
Instagram account to 10K followers, a new milestone in
our sorority’s social media presence.
