Britney Spears may appear totally
body-confident — at least where
her NSFW Instagram selfies are
concerned — but the pop star is
jonesing for cosmetic surgery — much
to the dismay of hubby Sam Asghari.
“Britney has slacked off on her gym and
diet routine and figures it’s time for some
lipo and other personal tune-ups,” a
source says of the 41-year-old mom of
two. That doesn’t sit right with actor and
fitness trainer Sam, 28. “It’s an assault
on his values,” says the insider. “He’s

all about working hard to achieve the
optimal physique and says anything else
is lazy and a turn-off.”
Friction over personal values is a
recurring issue for the newlyweds. Sure,
Sam had her back when Brit’s ex Kevin
Federline blasted her for posting nudes
and embarrassing their sons. And yes, he
fought for her rights during the last years
of her hightly restrictive conservatorship.
But he has his limits, recently admitting
he wasn’t a fan of her provocative pics.
“I personally preferred she never posted
these,” he recently said, adding, “But
who am I to control someone that’s been
under a microscope and been controlled
for most of her life?”
Sam is similarly conflicted over
Brit’s surgical tweaks: He wants her
to feel empowered to make her own
choices; he just doesn’t agree with all of
them. “Sam wants his wife to grow old
gracefully,” says the source. While Brit
values his input, adds the source, she’ll
do what she wants, “with or without his
permission.”
