The motors are designed for a constant torque range within a defined frequency<br />

range.<br />

The rating plate can specify the following frequency ranges depending on the motor<br />

design and how it was ordered:<br />

� M = const. for 13.3 Hz up to fmax for 4-pole motors or<br />

� M = const. for 20 Hz up to fmax for 2, 4 and 6-pole motors<br />

(The frequency range 13.3 Hz up to fmax has been conceived as replacement for<br />

the old 6-pole motor series.)<br />

The following example involves the same motor, however, stamped for the specified<br />

frequency ranges with different constant torques for the speed range.<br />

A voltage boost at low frequencies has already been taken into account in the data<br />

stamped on the rating plate.<br />
