WYN DAVIES<br />
Striker Wyn Davies<br />
was capped 34 times<br />
by Wales after leaving<br />
<strong>Wrexham</strong>. He impressed<br />
with Caernarvon prior<br />
to joining <strong>Wrexham</strong> in<br />
December 1959 and<br />
featured in their 1961-62<br />
promotion campaign,<br />
netting 21 goals in 55<br />
League games. Moving to<br />
Bolton Wanderers in an<br />
exchange deal involving<br />
Ernie Phythian in March<br />
1962, he joined Newcastle<br />
<strong>United</strong> in October 1966<br />
and starred in their 1969<br />
Fairs Cup final triumph.<br />
He moved to Manchester<br />
City in August 1971,<br />
then had spells playing<br />
for Manchester <strong>United</strong>,<br />
Blackpool, Stockport<br />
County, Arcadia<br />
Shepherds, Crewe<br />
Alexandra and Bangor<br />
City, becoming a baker in<br />
Bolton.<br />

KEVIN KEELAN<br />
Goalkeeper Kevin Keelan<br />
featured as <strong>Wrexham</strong><br />
won promotion and<br />
were Welsh Cup finalists<br />
in 1961-62. Born in<br />
Calcutta, he grew up in<br />
Kidderminster and had<br />
spells with Aston Villa and<br />
Stockport County before<br />
joining Kidderminster<br />
Harriers. He moved to<br />
<strong>Wrexham</strong> in November<br />
1961 and missed just<br />
two matches in 1962-<br />
63. Making 68 League<br />
appearances, he joined<br />
Norwich City in July 1963<br />
and starred as they twice<br />
won promotion to the<br />
top-flight, also playing in<br />
two League Cup finals.<br />
He was awarded the MBE<br />
prior to joining Tampa<br />
Bay Rowdies in May 1981,<br />
becoming a goalkeeping<br />
coach in Florida.<br />
ALAN BERMINGHAM<br />
Ex-England Schoolboy<br />
left-back Alan<br />
Bermingham was an<br />
important figure in<br />
<strong>Wrexham</strong>’s 1969-70<br />
promotion success. A<br />
former Everton amateur,<br />
he joined Skelmersdale<br />
<strong>United</strong> and trained as<br />
a teacher. He missed a<br />
vital last-minute penalty<br />
in the 1967 FA Amateur<br />
Cup final and moved to<br />
<strong>Wrexham</strong> that summer.<br />
His long throw-ins caused<br />
problems for defences,<br />
and he scored twice in<br />
116 League games prior<br />
to joining Durban City<br />
in June 1971. He helped<br />
twice win the South<br />
African League title and<br />
later played for Enfield,<br />
Bangor City, Buckley<br />
<strong>United</strong> and Conwy<br />
<strong>United</strong>, becoming a<br />
self-employed designer,<br />
settling in Abergele.
