Spring Into Action to Grow Your Business WITH the onset of spring there is no better time than now to talk about growth. Speak with anyone in any business and they will tell you that they want their businesses to grow. Some are even obsessed with it. I want bigger, I want more profit, I want more locations. No one is happy when their business is lagging or stagnant. No matter how profitable your business is, it should never stand still. It reminds me of the old saying “If you don’t make the dust…you eat the dust.” Why them do so many businesspeople arrive at a financial plateau unable to forge ahead? MOST true entrepreneurs live on the edge, always ready to take that next risk. However, it is also human nature to strive for security and settle into habit. Once we establish our businesses and earn a comfortable wage, many of us recline into managerial apathy. We need a boost. We need a plan. WHEN you first start a business you have a course of action. Every small detail is examined and tweaked. As the comfort level sets in we can easily become less likely to continue planning goals and making future plans. IN some businesses growth could mean numerous locations. In others, diversifying merchandise or adding new product categories to enhance profits. Making a mountain out of a molehill takes as much planning as starting a new business. We must envision the mountain and nurture the molehill. DON’T be reluctant to expand your business. Once you have a good base you should continue to grow your business. Don’t limit yourself by being afraid of changes. Stay on the cutting edge of new products in the market. Things are changing faster than ever and the smart businessperson stays on top of things. NOW that we are post covid and our business have been rebounding and gaining traction this is a good time to make new plans for your businesses future. With every month things have been improving and those of us who jump on the bandwagon will be prosperous. REMEMBER that reaping the rewards of a growing business is not always what one expects. Sure, we hope to make more money, but the greatest asset a successful business can yield is the gift of time that comes with renewed freedom as an overseer of the enterprise. Look to growth as the key to freedom and creativity in your business life.
