Kye Handy
Balch & Bingham, LLP
Attorney
I accepted the role of honoree
because I appreciate that all the
money raised helps children in
Mississippi. It is an amazing cause
to put a smile on the face of children
and families going through the most
challenging time of their life.
Community is extremely important
to me, along with giving back to the
community. Make-A-Wish Mississippi
makes such a huge impact on so
many lives and it is an amazing honor
to be a part of that process.
Mamie Herron
Skinny’s Nutrition Studio
Owner
When I was in the Disney College
Program in 1995, I volunteered with
the Make-A-Wish program’s
Parent’s Night Out and it was a really
rewarding opportunity for me as a
college student that I will never
forget. I have always loved fundraising
opportunities, and I feel that I have
been given the opportunity to know
so many generous individuals that
love to support this type of event.
Together, in the past, we have been
able to accomplish great things!
From this experience, I am excited
to be able to contribute to fulfilling
a wish through my efforts.
Co-Owner/ Dentist
I am truly humbled to have been
thought of as someone who would
represent this organization well. It
gives me so much joy to know that
others see me as someone who
continues to use my God-given
talents and abilities to bless others
beyond just my practice. It is an
incredible honor to not only have
the opportunity to raise money and
bring awareness to this great cause
but also to do it alongside such
amazing women who inspire and
motivate me to be a better version
of myself. Having worked with the
Make-A-Wish foundation previously
and being passionate about continuing
to use my platform to bring awareness
and smiles to others in our state and
community, I knew this would be an
incredible opportunity to make a
difference by doing just that. I hope
to leave this experience feeling as
though I was successful in meeting
the goals that we set. I pray that even
one life will be changed for the better.
My mentor, Dr. Heber Simmons, Jr.
always said to “leave the woodpile
higher than you found it.” I look
forward to meeting and working
with other women who share this
mission and like-mindedness.
Mona McBride
Mississippi Pharmacists
Association
Executive Director
It is such an honor to be able to serve
others in this capacity as a W.I.S.H.
Society honoree because I desire to
help others. I accepted the role of
honoree without hesitation to be
able to help make a difference in the
lives of critically ill children and see
their wishes become a reality. I have
always had a servant leadership heart
and I am committed to helping
others. From this experience, I strive
to help a child’s dream be fulfilled.
