BOARD OF WATER WORKS (as of December 31, 2011)<br />
The Board of Water Works is composed of seven members:<br />
• The <strong>Louisville</strong> <strong>Metro</strong> Mayor appoints all members.<br />
• The membership is bi-partisan, with no more than 50 percent from the same political party.<br />
• All new board members serve staggered four-year terms.<br />
• The <strong>Louisville</strong> <strong>Metro</strong> Mayor serves as ex officio.<br />
• Each April, the Board appoints officers of the company.<br />

Gerald Martin concluded eight years of service to<br />
the Board of Water Works, serving as Chair from<br />
2009-2011. Martin’s keen attention to detail and<br />
his expertise in financial analysis helped guide the<br />
company in his years of service.<br />
Ed Crooks, a Board of Water Works member since 2008, died unexpectedly in 2011. Crooks represented<br />
labor interests and was actively engaged in supporting our community service initiatives.<br />
<strong>Louisville</strong> Water graciously acknowledges Crooks’ service.<br />
