BOARD OF WATER WORKS (as of December 31, 2011)
The Board of Water Works is composed of seven members:
• The Louisville Metro Mayor appoints all members.
• The membership is bi-partisan, with no more than 50 percent from the same political party.
• All new board members serve staggered four-year terms.
• The Louisville Metro Mayor serves as ex officio.
• Each April, the Board appoints officers of the company.

Gerald Martin concluded eight years of service to
the Board of Water Works, serving as Chair from
2009-2011. Martin’s keen attention to detail and
his expertise in financial analysis helped guide the
company in his years of service.
Ed Crooks, a Board of Water Works member since 2008, died unexpectedly in 2011. Crooks represented
labor interests and was actively engaged in supporting our community service initiatives.
Louisville Water graciously acknowledges Crooks’ service.
