An Interview with
The Voice’s
Callum Doignie

Hey Callum, it's lovely to finally
feature you in this edition of The
Scene & Syone Magazines. So let's
get straight into it. Could you tell
me where your passion for music
and love of singing first came
from?
I’d say for as long as I can remember, I’ve
always loved music, my old man brought me
up on 50s 60s 70s music, and I’ve always
belted out songs for the family. From the
age of 16 I fell in love with hip hop and
started enjoying freestyling around my
brothers and his friends. And from the age
of 24 I started getting more confident
singing publicly and it’s excelled from then.
be to say reaching the finals of the voice and
duetting with sir tom, but for me it was my
confidence. The way I used to feel in crowds
of people to what I’m doing now is the most
rewarding feeling ever.
How was your experience on The
Voice and working closely with Sir
Tom Jones?
My experience on the voice was unreal, the
whole things was so refreshing and exciting.
I’d seen a completely different side to life
that I never thought was possible. What I
learnt from the voice for me was priceless.
What I’ve picked up as a performer and the
confidence boost it’s given me was what I
needed. Working closely with Sir Tom was a
dream come true.
What has been your biggest
achievement so far within your music
