About the CKFPC This Directory is your guide to finding good food grown, raised and processed in our region. It is for people who want to buy groceries locally, processors who want to source ingredients nearby, restaurateurs who want to support local farms and show off the bounty of the region, tourists who want to sample local fare and farmers who want to know about market opportunities. Throughout the Central Kootenay is a diversity of farms, big and small, as well as many small-scale food processors. The Council was formed in 2016 with the vision of catalyzing the work already underway on food systems in the region by consistently linking people and projects across the region. The Directory also allows those so inclined to seek out and support businesses owned by Indigenous, Black, other People of Colour, Queer and Youth entrepreneurs. Each business entry includes information on when and where their products are available and how to contact them.
