After you have copied all the files on the diskette, remove the MicroPro<br />
WordStar.Diskette from disk drive B and put it in a safe place. You will<br />
normally not need to use it again. ,<br />
Your next step is to install W ordStar for your printer., Again, locate<br />
your copy of the IBM DOS Diskette and insert it into disk drive B. This<br />
diskette contains the file BASICA.COM. Your W ordStar Working<br />
Diskette should still be in disk drive A. Your system should now have<br />
diskettes with the following files on them (as well as other files that are<br />
not used for this procedure). You can check to see if the files are present<br />
by using the DIR comm.and.<br />
Disk Drive A: WS.COM<br />
INSTALL.BAS<br />
Disk Drive B: BASICA.COM<br />
You are now ready to install W ordStar.<br />
Type:<br />
A> B:BASICA A:INST ALL Press RETURN<br />
Respond to the prompt by pressing RETURN to install WS.COM.<br />
Name offile containingWordStar (WS.COM)?<br />
Press RETURN<br />
NOTE: If you type a file name that does not exist in response to the<br />
above prompt, you will get the message uBad file in 200". You may type<br />
ttrun" to start the INSTALL program over.<br />
The screen will then show you the list of printers. Type the number<br />
that corresponds to your printer and press RETURN to enter your<br />
selection.<br />

5. Diablo 1610/1620/630* Printer<br />

*Diablo 630s come in two different models. See Appendix B.<br />
The computer will then ask you about setting the baud rate. The baud<br />
rate is the speed at which your computer communicates with your<br />
printer. Respond Y for yes and set the baud rate to match your printer.<br />
See your printer operating manual to find out which baud rate your<br />
prin ter uses.<br />
