No spring pins
The innovative design of the DiscovOre head
assembly eliminates all spring pins. The latch
pins are replaced with a patent pending hook
design. The retracting case pin is replaced with an
assembly rod and bolt. As for the spear head pin,
we’ve eliminated the spear head altogether.
No spearhead
With no spear head, the DiscovOre head eliminates
one of the most common failure points of current
head assemblies. Without the spearhead, we are
able to use a loading tool at the end of the head
assembly to hold the latches in and provide a
comfortable surface to push the inner tube into the
drill rod.
Reduced risk of jammed inner tubes
With its leveraged latch design, the DiscovOre
head increases your chances of releasing an inner
tube jammed in the core barrel. Just like adding
a cheater bar to a wrench for a stuck bolt, the
DiscovOre latch is extended past the engagement
surface to apply a substantially greater amount of
force to unlatch. This is achieved without adding
extra parts or links that complicate the assembly.
