EPOXYSHIELD BLACKTOP PATCH & CRACK FILLER

DESCRIPTION A mixable powder that can be used as a trowelable patch or pourable
crack filler.
USES Use Blacktop Patch & Crack Filler to repair cracks, minor holes and deteriorating areas
in asphalt surfaces. Do not use this product on wood, vinyl or glass surfaces.
APPEARANCE Dries to a flat black finish.
PACKAGING EpoxyShield Blacktop Patch & Crack Filler comes packaged in a 10 lb. plastic bucket
with a re-sealable lid.
SURFACE PREPARATION Clean the surface making sure it is free of dirt, debris, oil and grease spots. Trim any
grass or weeds overgrowing on to the driveway. Using a wire brush or screwdriver,
scrape clean all cracks and holes. Remove remaining dirt, dust and debris by sweeping
the area with a stiff broom. Heavy grease and oil spots should be cleaned with
EpoxyShield Blacktop Cleaner & Degreaser (sold separately). Thoroughly rinse the
driveway with fresh water and allow the surface to dry before application.
MIXING Mix EpoxyShield Blacktop Patch & Crack Filler dry powder with clean water in a
separate container according the measuring ratio table below. When mixing, always
add the dry powder to the water. Mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes with a trowel to
disperse the dry patch material uniformly. Do not over water or mix more material than
can be used in a 1 hour time frame.

APPLICATION Patch (to repair driveway holes up to 1” deep): After mixing with water, apply with a
trowel using sufficient pressure to fill the hole and to ensure maximum bond. Use for all
repairs up to 1” in depth. Do not add additional water or over trowel. For driveway
repairs great than 1” deep, extend 10 lbs. of EpoxyShield Blacktop Patch & Crack Filler
dry powder with up to 5 lbs. 3/8” – ½” sized pea gravel. Mix dry powder and pea gravel
thoroughly, then add to water following the measuring rations above. Blend thoroughly
and apply with a trowel using sufficient pressure to fill the hole and insure maximum
bond.
Crack Filler (to repair driveway cracks up to ½” wide): Apply crack filler slowly into
driveway cracks and wipe clean any excess product from the crack surface using the
point of a hand trowel or similar tool. Do not apply more than 1” deep in any single
application. Do not add additional water or overfill. For driveway cracks greater than 1”
deep or ½” wide, refer to the Patch mixing and application instructions above.
