EPOXYSHIELD BLACKTOP PATCH & CRACK FILLER<br />
TECH DATA SHEET<br />
DESCRIPTION A mixable powder that can be used as a trowelable <strong>patch</strong> or pourable<br />
<strong>crack</strong> <strong>filler</strong>.<br />
USES Use Blacktop Patch & Crack Filler to repair <strong>crack</strong>s, minor holes and deteriorating areas<br />
in asphalt surfaces. Do not use this product on wood, vinyl or glass surfaces.<br />
APPEARANCE Dries to a flat black finish.<br />
PACKAGING EpoxyShield Blacktop Patch & Crack Filler comes packaged in a 10 lb. plastic bucket<br />
with a re-sealable lid.<br />
SURFACE PREPARATION Clean the surface making sure it is free of dirt, debris, oil and grease spots. Trim any<br />
grass or weeds overgrowing on to the driveway. Using a wire brush or screwdriver,<br />
scrape clean all <strong>crack</strong>s and holes. Remove remaining dirt, dust and debris by sweeping<br />
the area with a stiff broom. Heavy grease and oil spots should be cleaned with<br />
EpoxyShield Blacktop Cleaner & Degreaser (sold separately). Thoroughly rinse the<br />
driveway with fresh water and allow the surface to dry before application.<br />
MIXING Mix EpoxyShield Blacktop Patch & Crack Filler dry powder with clean water in a<br />
separate container according the measuring ratio table below. When mixing, always<br />
add the dry powder to the water. Mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes with a trowel to<br />
disperse the dry <strong>patch</strong> material uniformly. Do not over water or mix more material than<br />
can be used in a 1 hour time frame.<br />

APPLICATION Patch (to repair driveway holes up to 1” deep): After mixing with water, apply with a<br />
trowel using sufficient pressure to fill the hole and to ensure maximum bond. Use for all<br />
repairs up to 1” in depth. Do not add additional water or over trowel. For driveway<br />
repairs great than 1” deep, extend 10 lbs. of EpoxyShield Blacktop Patch & Crack Filler<br />
dry powder with up to 5 lbs. 3/8” – ½” sized pea gravel. Mix dry powder and pea gravel<br />
thoroughly, then add to water following the measuring rations above. Blend thoroughly<br />
and apply with a trowel using sufficient pressure to fill the hole and insure maximum<br />
bond.<br />
Crack Filler (to repair driveway <strong>crack</strong>s up to ½” wide): Apply <strong>crack</strong> <strong>filler</strong> slowly into<br />
driveway <strong>crack</strong>s and wipe clean any excess product from the <strong>crack</strong> surface using the<br />
point of a hand trowel or similar tool. Do not apply more than 1” deep in any single<br />
application. Do not add additional water or overfill. For driveway <strong>crack</strong>s greater than 1”<br />
deep or ½” wide, refer to the Patch mixing and application instructions above.
