STAY on Monday<br />
<strong>The</strong> weekly youth club — STAY on Friday — is a place of continued fun <strong>and</strong><br />
growth for the young people of the parish <strong>and</strong> local area. As well as the<br />
regular young people enjoying volleyball, football, four square, man hunt,<br />
board games, games consoles <strong>and</strong> the tuck shop we also welcome year 6’s<br />
(above) on the fourth Friday of each month. <strong>The</strong>y are so polite <strong>and</strong> enjoy<br />
all that’s on offer at the youth club. I have no doubt they will transition to<br />
secondary school this summer with ease.<br />
STAY on Sunday<br />
STAY on Monday meets every two weeks in the<br />
young people's homes. We have had cake <strong>and</strong><br />
question sessions, faith building sessions <strong>and</strong><br />
games sessions. My particular favourite was when<br />
the young people enjoyed throwing Wotsits at one<br />
anothers' faces while covered in shaving foam.<br />
STAY on Sunday is coming to the end of a series on Jesus’s parables. <strong>The</strong><br />
most recent ones have included: ‘<strong>The</strong> Cost Of Discipleship’ in Luke 14:25-35<br />
<strong>and</strong> ‘<strong>The</strong> Prodigal Son’ in Luke 15:11-32. We got the young people thinking<br />
about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus <strong>and</strong> how much God loves us, no<br />
matter how far we’ve gone astray, like the father in the prodigal son story.<br />
