STAY in May Half Term
For May half term we organised activities for the local young people to enjoy, including: a Charvil
sports session, a BBQ for all STAY on Sunday Youth and their families and a Spider-Man cinema trip.
STAY and Emmanuel Youth Socials
We have continued hanging out with the youth from Emmanuel church as we prepare to spend the week
away camping at Satellites Youth Festival with them this summer. We have met after each Sunday at Six
service for a social with games, food, discussion and prayer. We’ve also had time paddle boarding as a
group and this was excellent fun!
STAY in Schools
We have had the privilege of delivering the last ever year 11 assembly at Piggott, sending them out with
a message of hope through reading the ‘You Are Special’ book by Max Lucado. Plus we had the whole
school assembly at Blue Coat where we thought about a story of a friend of mine who despite everything
going against them, they still knew the love of their Heavenly Father. We have also continued the weekly
Christian Union (CU) in Piggott with consistent numbers of around 15 students attending. As well as
assemblies and the CU we have also continued mentoring 26 students across the two local secondary
schools, with many year 11’s and year 13’s moving on this year. Prayers are with all who took their GCSE’s
and A-Levels this summer and are making plans for what’s next!
