ADVERTISING FEATURE Crown Foods hoping to make a 'Big Difference' Crown Foods in Lymington, Hampshire are a family business with over 40 years’ experience in the frozen and ambient food sector... They are most well known for supplying delicious and award-winning food to schools (many children go crazy for their MSC Bubble Salmon Fillets!) but they also supply to big name retailers, care homes, Dr Sanjay Mall (left) from The Big Difference next to Claire Rawlins (right) from Crown Foods service providers and independent caterers throughout the UK. They also offer a new direct Home Delivery service to families in Hampshire and Dorset. However, more recently they have also been delivering their food to somewhere entirely different – a charitable initiative known as The Big Difference service in Southampton. The Big Difference is a Food Redistribution Project, managed entirely by volunteers. It is a community outreach program that is making a genuine and practical impact on the lives of those facing food insecurity. The cost of living crisis has exasperated the ever growing issue of food poverty in the UK, leaving many families and individuals struggling to feed themselves proper meals. This initiative currently serves over 75 communities and ten schools in Southampton; working with charities and community groups to support those in need. Claire Rawlins, Director at Crown Foods comments; “We were delighted to be able to donate some of our frozen products to this worthy cause. As food poverty sadly isn’t going away anytime soon, we hope to be able to continue to support Dr Sanjay Mall and his hard-working team.” shop.crownfoods.co.uk ADVERTISING FEATURE Pirates!
