Working mostly on the German market
through three G+H MONTAGE
subsidiaries, Sophiane Construction draws
together a wide range of lines of business,
from the complete development of commercial,
tertiary or industrial sites, to the construction
of cold storage chambers, and including the
installation of high-performance façades, such
as outer coatings at airports or sound-proof
façades for power plants.
The consolidated net sales in 1998 amounted
to 260 million euros, generated by
1,200 employees spread over 45 establishments.
The interior outfitting and cold storage
construction businesses, which are subject to
very strong competition, experienced a difficult
year, and contributed to the implementation
of a rigorous business selection policy.
On the other hand, façade installation had
a spectacular recovery, following on profound
restructuring.
