The cherry on top is not the star of the
show. It was never intended to be, but it
undoubtably adds an extra little sweetness
to the cake. The cake will be just as tasty
without the cherry, but a cherry without a
cake is just a plain old cherry (still delicious
though). In essence, the cherry doesn’t
make the cake, it simply adds to it.
This idea is something that resonates
throughout this edition of Modern
Law Magazine, but replace the cake
with human input and the cherry with
technology. As you read through the
pages, you will see how legal professionals
are implementing new and innovative
technology into their work processes,
whilst maintaining and enhancing the
essential human touch/input that is the
backbone of the legal industry.
Opening this issue are three interviews
with legal tech thought leaders, and
innovators including Global Futurist Eric
Hunter, Co-Founder of oneNDA Electra
Japonas, and Technology Lawyer and
aspiring A.I. Developer Raymond Sun.
They all share expertise in their field and
tell us of their predictions on the future
of legal work. Following our interviews,
we have four thought provoking articles

On behalf of all of us at Modern Law, I
would like to take this opportunity to once
again congratulate all of our fabulous
winners, highly-commended recipients,
and shortlisted candidates for their
achievements and successes. The night
was truly amazing and memorable.
In this issue, we also have a special

includes industry leaders talking about
the issues facing the personal injury
sector, their hopes for the future of

Our new Tech Interviews shed a light on
