Scope<br />
The candidate will be asked to clean a domestic kitchen work surface, 1 domestic kitchen<br />
sink, and clean the internal, accessible external surfaces and removable fittings of a<br />
domestic microwave oven.<br />
Health & Safety Requirements<br />
Demonstrate an understanding of the<br />
appropriate documentation:<br />
• Control of Substances Hazardous to<br />
Health (COSHH) assessment and Safety<br />
Data Sheets (SDS)<br />
• Task Risk Assessment (RA)<br />
• Method Statement (MS) or Standard<br />
Operating Procedure (SOP)<br />
Equipment required for assessment<br />
• Warning signs<br />
• Appropriate personal protective<br />
equipment (PPE), as specified by COSHH<br />
assessment and/or task risk assessment<br />
• Colour-coded cloths<br />
• Colour-coded appropriately labelled<br />
spray bottle (if applicable)<br />
• Non-abrasive pad/plastic scraper<br />
• Colour-coded hand bucket (if applicable)<br />
• Cleaning agent – The rinsing of surfaces<br />
may not be applicable if a non-rinse<br />
product is used.<br />
• Measuring apparatus (if applicable)<br />
• Sanitiser (if applicable)<br />
• Area/equipment to clean all microwave<br />
removable parts. A bucket or sink maybe<br />
used to clean the removable
