Academic Vital Signs
The Health Center at Auraria offers a
program entitled Academic Vital Signs
which is designed to connect students to
academic and personal resources, as early
as possible, to enhance the likelihood of
academic success. Any Auraria student
can simply stop by the Health Center
at Auraria without an appointment
and request to meet with one of the
Academic Referral Coordinators, who
will make connections with the most
appropriate institutional resources based
on the student’s needs. Students do
not need to be a patient at the Health
Center at Auraria to access this service.
It is important for students to seek help
when they first determine that some type
of academic or personal assistance may be
beneficial. Additionally, the Health Center
at Auraria medical providers automatically
integrate an academic vital signs checkup
into each clinical visit as an additional
strategy to assess if a student may be in
need of assistance.
Nutrition Counseling
A Registered Dietitian is available to meet
with individuals who are interested in
having personalized nutrition counseling.

Tobacco Cessation
This service provides an initial

professional (1 or more visits) and up
to three (3) clinical office visits with a
medical provider. For those choosing a
medication option to assist with their

of the appropriate prescription is provided
at no charge.
