HEALTH CENTER AT AURARIAPersonnel, Costs& ConfidentialityThe Health Center at Auraria employs a varietyof medical personnel, as well as allied healthprofessionals and support specialists. All clinicalproviders are fully licensed and credentialedaccording to their medical specialty.OUR STAFF INCLUDES:» Physicians: Family Medicine, SportsMedicine, Psychiatry and Gynecology» Physician Assistants» Clinical Nurse Specialists» Medical Assistants» Radiographers» Allied Health Professionals» Healthcare AdministratorsCosts & DiscountsCharges are purposely kept as low as possible to assist students.For self-pay patients an automatic 50% discount is applied to all charges.ConfidentialityThe Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)is enforced. All records are confidential and cannot be released to anyone withouta patient’s written authorization. The only exception is when records are legallysubpoenaed or required by public health law.After-Hours Medical CareIf you are experiencing a life or limb threatening emergency,go immediately to the closest emergency room or call 911 foremergency response.After-Hours Mental HealthCrisis Support & Victim AssistanceIf you have an urgent mental health or victim assistance need after hours, pleasecall 303-615-9911 or text the word TALK to 38255 to be connected with a trainedmental health professional. Insurance InformationHealth insurance is not required to access servicesat the Health Center at Auraria.AcceptedInsurance PlansThe Health Center at Auraria is an innetworkmedical provider for all studenthealth insurance plans and for the majorhealth insurance plans offered in theState of Colorado. This includes ColoradoMedicaid.The limited exceptions to this are exclusiveplans such as Bright Health, Friday, Oscar,Kaiser, Medicare and Denver Health orout-of-state Medicaid, of which the HealthCenter at Auraria is not a participatingprovider.
