through the front doors of the school and be
welcomed as the newest Pres Girls.

All classes ending in 2 and 7 are invited to
the annual Reunion Weekend. See back cover for

Walkathon
September 21
Put on your walking shoes! Students, along
with alums, parents, and friends, participate in a
2.8 mile stroll through downtown Louisville. The
fundraiser supports tuition assistance.

A Message from
SISTER CHRIS BECKETT
President
As we prepare
for a new academic
year, I am especially
reminded of the
theme for this
past school year,
You are a Star. Just
last August we
reflected with
our faculty, staff and students the true
meaning behind this theme and how
we as a Pres community could live out
this call to stardom.
True to Pres’ mission and values, our
faculty, staff and students proved the
meaning of our theme: individually
each shone brightly in her/his different
ways, but together we lit up the
whole campus at Fourth and Breck.
In the Class of 2012 the Starlight will
permeate the world in the many future
professions and endeavors of the members
of this class.
As you read through this issue of The
Tower, I ask you to keep in mind the
You Are a Star theme. You will learn of
the present Pres Girls’ many feats of
the year as well as those of our faculty
and staff. You will also learn of the
many ways our alumnae shine in their
lives and careers. Trust me, you will be
amazed.
In closing, I offer the following verse
to you in gratitude for the many gifts
you are share with Pres:
Blanket of Stars light up a night sky
Twinkle together to create a beautiful work
of art
When we shine together
We light up the world to make an unforgettable
difference
