to arrange the
distribution of the
shirts through the
club. Saints’ director of
community Greg Baker
points out: “Although
it is clear that the club
never plans to have
surplus stock, it is
almost inevitable that
at the end of each
season there can be
items going spare and,
rather than going to
landfill, some are given
to fans and contacts
that have links to
various countries.
“The club seeks to
use any stock that is
left over in the most
effective ways possible:
items are distributed
locally through the
Saints Foundation and
other local charities
and/or they are sent

some of our partners.
“One distributor is the
charity Care & Relief
for the Young [CRY]
(cry.org.uk), who have
recently sent shirts
to Kenya, Egypt, Togo
and Madagascar.
Another charity that
we support is called
His Church Charity
(hischurch.org.uk).
“We are currently well
sorted for distribution
partners; we often
get others reaching
out but unfortunately
we aren’t able to
accommodate them
at this time.”
