What bathroom trends do
you forecast for 2024?
It’s going to be all about colour. From
decorative tiles and bold wallpaper
to coloured basins and toilets. This
is a bright and optimistic look,
but if you are nervous about using
colour and pattern start in your
cloakroom. This is the perfect, small
space to experiment and go bright.
The other trend we are seeing is the
hybrid look, it isn’t exactly traditional
but it isn’t contemporary either. Metal
finishes such as brass, bronze and
gunmetal contribute to the success of
this trend. For instance contemporary
brass taps work well with a traditional
wood basin unit, if the taps were
chrome it wouldn’t work at all.
What is the biggest ‘must have’
in bathroom design right now?
Our customers are looking for a focal
point to make a bold design statement.
This might be a brightly coloured
basin or a gold shower screen. Or it
might be a gorgeous cast iron bath.
Remember you can repaint a cast iron
bath as often as you like, so you can
keep refreshing that wow factor.

I would like to turn that question around
and say; rather than cutting corners,
invest in quality, timeless pieces that will
not only serve you and your family well

anniversary! Aston Matthews was
