A new installation by book<br />
artist Su Blackwell reimagines<br />
the creative process which led<br />
Rudyard Kipling to conjure up<br />
his much-loved classic, The Jungle<br />
Book. ‘Bateman’s Reimagined’<br />
is created from copies of the<br />
story’s handwritten manuscript.<br />
Kipling’s words loop and curl<br />
across hundreds of pages, nestling<br />
a model of the house at Bateman’s,<br />
once the home of the writer.<br />

of friends over 30 years ago to<br />
raise money for local mental<br />
health charities in Kent. Its<br />
annual art sale is now one of<br />
Kent’s premier exhibitions and to<br />
date it has raised over £330,000<br />
for the mental health charities it<br />
supports. As a voluntary group,<br />
100% of proceeds go directly<br />
