Local artist Nada Herman will hold open studios over three
weekends in October.
View her stunning works at the historic property ‘Hy-brasil’
on October 7-8, 14-15 and 21-22 (plenty of parking at the top of
the driveway).
Nada specialises in large, bold, colourful oil paintings, using
loads of paint in a dynamic, textured style, depicting the local
area with its beautiful waterways and oceans.

Housing, energy
crisis seminar
Sydney Alliance is hosting a
Housing and Energy workshop
on 4 October from 7-9pm at
Our Lady of Dolours Catholic
Church Chatswood (94 Archer
Street Chatswood). The workshop
will cover concrete goals
and solutions to understand
everyday issues related to
housing and energy costs. The
workshop seeks to build solutions
locals can take to local,
State and Federal parliamentarians
for response. “The cost
of living, housing affordability
and the energy crisis affects
everyone. We are all impacted
when essential workers – bus
drivers, medical staff, baristas
and teachers – can’t afford to
live locally,” the organisers
