THE AUTHOR<br />

Thomas Hoppe was a restorer and artist<br />

based in Hamburg-Ottensen. Since the beginning<br />

of the 1990s, he has published studies<br />

on painting techniques, including the<br />

German classic about painting materials:<br />

“Max Doerner’s Malmaterial”. As a professor,<br />

he taught students about painting techniques<br />

and materials. E. A. SEEMANN has<br />

also published his volumes “Acrylic Painting”<br />

(Acrylmalerei) and “Hot Wax Painting”<br />

(Wachsmalerei).<br />
