THE AUTHOR<br />
Thomas Hoppe was a restorer and artist<br />
based in Hamburg-Ottensen. Since the beginning<br />
of the 1990s, he has published studies<br />
on painting techniques, including the<br />
German classic about painting materials:<br />
“Max Doerner’s Malmaterial”.<br />
As a professor, he taught students about<br />
painting techniques and materials. E. A.<br />
SEEMANN has also published his volumes<br />
“About Painting” (Malkunde) and “Acrylic<br />
Painting” (Acrylmalerei).<br />
