DEVELOPMENTThe Development Unit (DU) plays a vital role inenabling communities, enterprises, and stakeholdersto co-create solutions to societal problems and theSustainable Development Research Institute (SDRI) isco-located with the Development Unit.The Development Team implements a wide rangeof projects in partnership with academic institutes,professional organisations, local and centralgovernment, representative organisations, industry,and commercial bodies. The Unit is dedicated toimplementing the TU’s vision of supporting individuals,companies and industries in the Midlands and Mid-Westto achieve social, economic and environmental changesthrough applying its expertise in a collaborative manner.Our team is particularly focused on working with peopleto solve real problems and challenges.Priority focus areas for the Development Team includeSocial Enterprise, Sustainable Energy and RuralDevelopment. We have worked with a network of over160 partners across the EU and have experience innational and international programmes includingHorizon 2020, Interreg, Erasmus, and COSME, both ascoordinators and as partner beneficiaries. Our dynamicteam has extensive experience in proposal developmentand work in an agile environment to respond to specificpartnership needs and requirements.1566. Research, Development and Innovation
