COUNSELLING SERVICE
TUS Student Counselling Service offers professional
and confidential psychological counselling which is
FREE to registered students, staffed by highly qualified
and experienced psychologists, psychotherapists, and
counsellors.
Our aim is to provide professional, high calibre,
accessible and student-centred psychological and
emotional support for students. Students who present
in crisis are prioritised for support.
What issues do counsellors deal with?
The short answer is everything, really! We support
students with a wide range of issues including mental
health issues, depression, anxiety panic attacks,
bereavement and loss, family, interpersonal or
relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual trauma/rape/
sexual abuse, academic issues, disordered eating, and
substance misuse. Whatever your issue, if you are in
emotional distress, we encourage you to seek support.
The Counselling Services offer a variety of
psychoeducational workshops and webinars
in areas such as overcoming anxiety, building
resilience, managing exam stress. We
also host guided mindfulness sessions for
students throughout the academic year.
We invite you to participate in our positive
mental health promotion initiatives and
mental health awareness campaigns as part
of our ongoing commitment to promoting
student wellbeing and success.
